Battery Passport — EU 2023/1542
Manufacturers and importers of EV batteries and industrial batteries over 2 kWh sold on the EU market.
From 18 February 2027, all covered batteries must carry a QR code linking to a Digital Battery Passport covering chemical composition, raw material origin, carbon footprint, lifecycle performance, and recycling instructions. The QR code must remain scannable and the data live for the battery's full service life.
Print the QR once on the cell or pack. Update the destination URL as your battery passport platform evolves — no new labels, no reprinting. Audit trail logs every change for regulatory inspection. QRStandard is the redirect layer, not the data platform — positioning you as infrastructure-agnostic.
