EU Toy Safety Regulation — 2025/2509
Toy manufacturers and importers selling in the EU market. Replaces the previous Toy Safety Directive as of January 2026.
Regulation EU 2025/2509 (published December 2025, general application August 2030) requires all toys to have a Digital Product Passport accessible via QR code or data carrier on the toy, label, or packaging. The DPP must contain the unique product identifier, manufacturer ID, applicable legislation references, and CE marking information. The DPP must be maintained for 10 years.
